COMENTARIOS DE NUESTROS HUÉSPEDES

“We were completely humbled and privileged to have had the chance to stay at Ule! Eugenia was the most gracious and kind host - so much so that we are positive we will remain close friends from now on - and we're still stunned at how welcome she made us feel from the moment we arrived. We were spoiled with home-cooked Yucatan delights, special nights out and a uniquely personal sense of care and attention. They even took time out to drop us back to the airport! Ule is a gorgeously peaceful oasis in a very convenient location of downtown Merida - in easy walking distance to some of the best parts of town. The living quarters are clean, spacious and oozing with character - absolutely perfect for what we were after - and we are very much looking forward to our stay next time we are in town. Eugenia, please come to Australia so we can return the favour! xx”

This was a fantastic place to stay and Eugenia was an incredible host! Truly a paradise within the city, a place where you feel relaxed, inspired and happy. Our time here was a true delight and we hope to come back one day!

I had a wonderful time in Merida! Ule is awesome, the place is beautiful and very serene. I would definItely come back:)

This place is truly a gem! After wondering around the historical colonial town of Merida you eventually will find a little door off a street that doesn't look like much....but when you get inside, your eyes will light up! There is a courtyard that joins a few studio homes and the whole property is absolutely adorable. One would think that a place in the middle of the city would be noisy, but its quite the contrary. You will find peace and quiet here. Not only is this place quaint and interesting, but the neighborhood holds great historical and artistic value. It is walking distance to museums, restaurants, stores, old Cathedrals, and other historical buildings. If you feel like having a beach day, Progresso is about a half hour drive and it is also a nice place to visit. The room was very clean and felt safe. The vintage atmosphere will leave you with a special experience you will not find anywhere else. The host is very sweet and helpful as well!

There are not enough characters in this box to say what I thin of Ule Unas Letras and the ever lovely Eugenia. From top to bottom, from the textured walls to the vintage bathtub mirror to a welcome of wine and laughter, the experience was unforgettable. This is a very special place, charmed by Eugenia and her cohort of artists who have nurtured it into a home for creativity. Beautiful room--romantic and inspiring. Your surrounded by books and art but can retire from everything in the gorgeous marble tub. And it's all a perfect launching pad for getting to know Merida. You are right in the center of things--a quick walk to the most delicious spots, to the squares, to the theaters. Even made an easy and not-to-be-missed daytrip to Celestun and back. Or ask Eugenia for her awesome recommendations for the best local mezcal or music. And then chat with her a while--shes' a dynamo. Hands down, five stars.

Had a lovely stay in the Merida artist/research residency right in the center of Merida. The place is right in Centro (blocks from the Ado bus terminal) although when you are inside you feel in a tranquil and peaceful place. The room itself is spacious with a very comfortable bed and hammock, too! Eugenia was very accommodating and we shared some nice stories together when we had the chance to visit over breakfast. Thanks for a wonderful base for my days exploring Merida, Yucatan!
